Finished: ✓The Zium Society has created a collection of free virtual museum exploration games featuring the work of many artists from around the world. As of writing this, there are four different museums that you can play and walk around in.
It's a very lovely idea! I like the concept of recreating a physical museum experience in a video game that everyone can download and play regardless of distance.
There are various collections of more common art pieces that you would find as a real-life art installation: things like paintings, photographs, and sculptures. However, the museum also likes to lean into concepts that are less feasible (if not impossible) in physical settings. A stylized 3D rendition of a city street that you can walk around in, sculptures that shift and warp in shape as you walk around them, abstract floating environments, a giant sphere that takes up your whole vision. The visual flexibility of computer graphics is on display due to the diverse group of artists and their unique styles.
It's very cool.
